A Murno Gladst fence is name given to any fence in which a polyhedric assembly of igneous rock is employed to support a mound of earth upon which a structure is built, typically from the same stone as the fence. While an ancient Scandinavian method of construction, some instances of the method came into use after the Scandinavian invasions of Mediterranean territories in ancient times, during which time they were known as the "Sea Peoples".
